Agios Floros

Agios Floros is located just 20 miles northwest of Kalamata and has 294 inhabitants. Its trademark is the river Pamisos and the historic plane-tree, which is associated with serious historical events in the region during the 17th and 18th century. The name of the village came from a chapel of the Holy Martyrs Floros and Lavra, which was built near the present church of Agios Floros.
